I have been working in the community sector for over ten years now. I have worked with a diverse range of groups and individuals. Including, youth groups, women groups, ethnic minorites, mental health organisations, alternative education groups, mens groups, victims organisations, restorative justice groups, councils, small businesses and many more. I began to design and deliver my own personal development and peace and reconciliation trainings a number of years ago and out of this grew my passion for assisting individuals to grow and develop themselves. Watching people transform how they think and feel and demand their personal power back gave me the inspiration to train as a NLP Master Practitioner and Therapist allowing me to continue expanding my work outside of the “teaching environment ” and assist individuals to “experience the power within them ” and “actualise their magnificence”. I currently see clients who present with a range of issues from limiting beliefs, lack of self confidence/ belief, self esteem, self worth issues, anxieties, phobias, addictions and more. I use NLP processes and techniques including, Time Line Therapy and Hypnosis.
I am passionate about people moving forward in life and not standing still. “No matter how big or how small the steps you take are, we all need to be constantly developing ourselves and broadening our minds.” I have personal experience of letting go of negative past experiences. I believe fervently in encouraging others to let go of anything which is holding them back and disabling them from living a fulfilled life. I believe many of us become bogged down with negative and destructive behaviours. I am enthusiastic, and am a firm believer in listening to our “self talk “ and ensuring what we hear is positive. I would argue that when people say, “it is too hard to let go of the past “that it is “harder not to.”
Lisa says” we only have a limited time on this earth so make the most of the life you have been given, let go of negative emotions and limiting decisions, free yourself of the baggage that weighs you down and live life to the max. Move forward with flexibility of character to be who you want to be and live how you wish to. Take control, it is your life.“
I had seen an article in Horse and Rider magazine about NLP, the article entitled ‘Confidence within 2 days’. Initially, I had read with interest as I was a very nervous rider and thought that NLP may help me overcome barriers that had formed in my head and prevented me from enjoying horse riding. However, a few people said it wasn’t really for young people so I forgot about it. Over the past few years I’ve been through a bit of a tough time and my confidence in all areas was damaged. I had went to counselling but whilst this helped, it only helped me a certain amount through just talking. I quit counselling for a few months and then 6months later I hit a low point and felt I really needed some help but it took a long time in coming, so I researched other ways to get out of the hole where I had never felt so low in my whole life. I just felt, what’s the point in anything? NLP came into my mind and it was the only other thing I could think of. Through the different NLP techniques I really came out of the hole with a whole new outlook. Even a week made such a difference to how I felt about life. NLP is only part of the road to fulfilment in your life – its all down to you really. Lisa really helped me so much more than any counselling ever did and in only a few sessions. Lisa was easy to talk to and I enjoyed the sessions with her. I feel like I have started a new chapter in my life and left behind the things that have tied me down for the past few years, yet still holding onto the memories. Thanks Lisa.
